Join us for a day full of workshops dedicated to science learning, strategies, and product overviews for students PreK-8.

Wave Properties and Information Technologies
(Grades 6-8), 8:00 – 9:00am
Engage in activities using lasers and optical fibers and concepts of refraction and reflection.

Introduction to FOSS Pathways
(Grades 3-5), 10:40 – 11:40am
Learn strategies for providing direct experience with phenomena, guiding students to constructing explanations, and developing models.

Language, Literacy, and Science Integration
(Grades K-8), 1:20 – 2:20pm
Explore strategies and tools that support student engagement and focus on critical literacy and language development.

Using Science Notebooks to Engage with Sense Making with FOSS
(Grades K-5) 2:40 – 3:40pm
Investigate phenomena and experience how students collect data, engage in sense making discussions, and construct explanations.

Science for All Students-Access and Equity
(Grades K-8) 4:00 – 5:00pm
A hands-on experience and discussion of the assets of diverse students and how to leverage their knowledge in science and engineering.
